Circulation of goods and people

To ensure secure circulation of goods and people worldwide, Morpho offers a wide range of detection systems for dangerous or illicit substances. They are used for air and land transport, port infrastructures and customs services.

Morpho, as a benchmark player in the detection market, offers a wide range of systems and services to protect airports, ports and borders. Specializing in computed tomography detection systems for dangerous or illicit substances in luggage, Morpho is the world’s leading supplier of this type of machine, with over 1,700 now in service.

Airport security

Based on advanced computed tomography and X-ray technologies, Morpho’s explosive trace detection (ETD) systems and explosive detection systems (EDS) considerably increase security at checkpoints for passengers, luggage and cargo.

Morpho offers a complete family of explosive detection systems for luggage inspection at airports, based on the advanced imaging capability of computed tomography. One of the most recent members of this family, the CTX 9800, with 3D imaging capability, can inspect up to 1,000 pieces of luggage per hour.

Port and border security

Port and border infrastructures form the first line of defense against the entry of dangerous or illegal products in a country. Morpho offers detection and identification systems for explosives, narcotics, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear products, to enhance security in an environment with a growing number of threats.

Morpho’s explosive detection systems approved by European airports

The high-speed explosive detection systems (EDS) offered by Morpho Detection, Inc., the Morpho company grouping Safran’s detection businesses, have been certified by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) as meeting the European Union’s Standard 3 requirements. This certification marks a major step forward in the deployment of high-tech EDS systems in Europe, and should enhance the efficiency of checked luggage controls.
