Navigation systems for submarines
The laser gyro inertial navigation system developed and manufactured by Sagem (Safran group) offers long endurance during dives and is capable of operating in very severe magnetic environments with no loss of performance
The open and modular architecture of the inertial navigation system makes it the ideal solution for new-generation submarines, as well as for upgrades of current ships. Certified to the most exacting naval standards, the system produced by Sagem is used on the Australian Navy’s Collins-class submarines as well as Norway’s ULA-class submarine fleet.
